Keep your body, mind, and soul in shape!

Hang your hammock, jump in, and read.
Required summer reading:

*Grade K-3 (Parent, read a book with your child 15 minutes, 4 days a week.)
These books are available at the local public libraries, Barnes & Noble, and Borders.

Suggestions for “math” exercise for your brain:
Grade 1 Practice with your flashcards
Grade 2 Practice + and - telling time, counting money.
Grade 3 Practice + and – facts 1-18 for 5 minutes daily.
Grade 4 Review + and – facts, and 1-12 x facts.
Grade 5 Review multiplication and division facts.
Grades 7 & 8 Be able to +,-,x, and divide fractions and decimals without a calculator.

Practice writing. Keep a summer diary or vacation journal and, write letters and post cards to friends and relatives.


Most importantly, don’t forget your prayers and mass attendance during the summer. Find God in the beauty of nature and each other.
